This retail client was confident that a brick and mortar store in Burnaby would be more attractive to consumers than the on-line retailers for a product such as eyewear. A retailer builds trust with consumers when they have a tangible connection to the product and the service. To touch and view the merchandise or to receive immediate attention from real staff, no website can beat that.
And so for this business model, the interior design concept included ample display for a large inventory of eyewear, simple and understated design details to reflect the merchandise price point, central service desk for staff to be accessible to customers from all angles and bright warm finishes and lighting for patrons clarity and comfort.
